An IT Engineer Who Turned a Logo-Design Hobby Into a 100-Person Company
Abhi's first Fiverr gig earned him an order within a week of publishing it. Nine years later, he runs offices in two countries and calls himself a "7-figure Pro"
Abhi trained as an IT engineer, but his real interest had always been graphic design — colours, drawing and crafting, in his own words, since childhood. In 2016, out of curiosity rather than any clear career plan, he discovered Fiverr and published his first gig in the logo design category. He received his first order within a week, a moment he's described as a genuine confidence boost and the real beginning of his freelance journey.
From One Designer to a Managed Team
What started as a single freelancer taking on individual logo projects quickly outgrew what one person could handle. As order volume increased, Abhi found himself juggling client communication, design work and delivery deadlines simultaneously — a bottleneck that pushed him to make an unusual early decision for a solo freelancer: build a team. He started by hiring client-facing staff to manage communication, then brought on in-house designers, personally training them and establishing a clear operational hierarchy so the growing business could run smoothly without every project depending entirely on him.
His stated principle from day one was straightforward — deliver accurate, high-quality work with clear communication, and go the extra mile to overdeliver whenever possible. That consistency paid off in 2018, when Fiverr promoted him to Top Rated Seller status, a milestone that steadily grew both his reputation and his order volume.
A Trip to Fiverr's Headquarters
In 2019, Abhi's growing standing on the platform earned him a visit to Fiverr's headquarters in Israel, where he met the company's CEO, Micha Kaufman — an experience he's described as a dream come true. He's credited that trip, and the broader process of analysing his own business, with helping him identify specific gaps in his operation and implement new strategies around service quality, communication and delivery timelines.
Nine Years, 100+ Employees, Two Countries
Today, close to nine years after publishing that first gig, Abhi holds Top Rated Seller and Fiverr Pro status, has been recognised as a Fiverr Community Leader, and describes himself as a 7-figure seller leading a team of more than 100 employees across offices in two different countries — a scale that would have been difficult to imagine from a single logo-design gig published out of curiosity in 2016.
His advice to newer freelancers, as he's put it himself, comes down to a short list: believe in yourself, communicate clearly, set the right expectations with clients, and overdeliver whenever you can — because ultimate client satisfaction is what actually compounds into a durable business.
Why It Matters for Freelancers
Abhi's story is a useful reminder that the ceiling on freelance platforms isn't necessarily the platform itself — it's whether a freelancer treats early success as an endpoint or as the first signal that the underlying demand is bigger than one person can serve. The decision to hire, train and build operational structure around a single design skill, rather than simply taking on more individual orders, is what separated a profitable solo gig from a genuine, scalable company.
